About the Performance

Tyson Meya is a Congolese pianist, singer and composer developing Mushikishiki Vibes, a distinctive musical language blending Congolese rhythms, jazz, African grooves and contemporary sounds. Rooted in the rich musical culture of Kinshasa, his work explores rhythm, improvisation and melody while creating a bridge between African traditions and contemporary music. Through his energetic live performances, Tyson Meya brings audiences into a unique musical experience shaped by African identity, movement and connection. Following performances and collaborations across Africa and Europe and US, he will bring Mushikishiki Vibes to Kenya, leading into the release of his upcoming album YO MOKO. Mushikishiki Vibes is a sound in constant movement, connecting Kinshasa to the world.
