Programs and Business Development Officer

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports To: Executive Director

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Develop and implement program strategies aligned with the Trust’s mission.
  • 2. Oversee day-to-day operations of all programs and projects.
  • 3. Monitor, evaluate, and improve program outcomes through data analysis.
  • 4. Coordinate partnerships with local and international stakeholders.
  • 5. Supervise and train program staff and volunteers.
  • 6. Chair the Kenya International Theatre Festival Performances Selection Committee.
  • 7. Identify and pursue funding opportunities.
  • 8. Develop proposals and grant applications.
  • 9. Build strategic partnerships with corporates and government agencies.
  • 10. Create revenue-generating initiatives for sustainability.
  • 11. Develop marketing and sponsorship strategies.
  • 12. Represent the Trust in meetings and conferences.
  • 13. Advocate for theatre and performing arts with policymakers.
  • 14. Foster relationships with artists and cultural organizations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1. Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts, Performing Arts, or related field.
  • 2. At least 3 years of experience in program management or arts administration.
  • 3. Proven experience in fundraising and grant writing.
  • 4. Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • 5. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • 6. Passion for theatre and performing arts.

Graphic Designer

Location: Remote (Kenya-based applicants preferred)

Employment Type: Part-time

Reports To: Corporate Affairs Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Design promotional materials (posters, flyers, banners, social media graphics).
  • 2. Collaborate with the marketing team to align designs with brand identity.
  • 3. Develop creative concepts for advertising campaigns and sponsorship decks.
  • 4. Edit and refine designs based on feedback.
  • 5. Prepare designs for digital and print formats.
  • 6. Stay updated on design trends and bring innovative ideas.
  • 7. Manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines.
  • 8. Contribute to visual communication strategies for audience engagement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1. Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field.
  • 2. At least 2 years of professional experience in graphic design.
  • 3. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva.
  • 4. Experience in social media content design.
  • 5. Strong understanding of branding, typography, and color theory.
  • 6. Ability to work independently in a remote setup.
  • 7. Portfolio showcasing creativity and technical skills.
